Investigation of In vitro Propagation Possibilities of Endemic Campanula phitosiana Yıldırım & Şentürk

Campanula phitosiana Yıldırım & Şentürk, is a local endemic to the Aydın Mountain range, which distribute across in Western Anatolia (both İzmir and Aydın). This species belongs Mediterranean basin floristic region. According International Union for Conservation of Nature’s criteria, C. classified as “Critically Endangered” (CR). The aim study develop vitro regeneration protocol critically endangered phitosiana. To investigate efficient medium plant growth regulator combinations callus initiation shoot proliferation, petiole leaves were used explant explants cultivated on MS including NAA (1-Naphthylacetic acid) (0.3 mg L-1), TDZ (Thidiazuron) (0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 BA (6-Benzylaminopurine) L-1) Gibberellic Acid (GA3) L-1). Explants subcultured 3 times. Experiments conducted according completely randomized design repeated with 5 replicates each explants. As result experiment, proliferation investigated. Efficient was observed 100% rate. Shoot 0.3 L-1 + 2.0 GA3.
